This is the little quilt that resulted from the tiny bits of
scraps from the previous quilt.
As I stated last week, I had constructed a 30s retro quilt out of scraps a friend had given me. There were enough left to just make a wee little one:
What amazes me about quilting is the way the same materials
can yield such different results! I guess one can say the same about painting
or doing mosaics, but to me quilting, since it uses such constrained and
geometric shapes, really amazes with the vitality and variety that this very
limited medium provides.
As can be seen, I still have a ways to go to complete this quilt, but it is coming along nicely.
